After flooding at our Mountsorrel Apiary, we moved the 3 hives we salvaged to Thurlaston in 2024. A year later, after some swarm collecting last summer and spliting hives we are up to 7 hives. This photo taken in late May 25 shows the bees are loving their new home with its open countryside and plenty of foraging opportunities.
Spring is in the air, and we have honey in the jars. For the first time we are able to bring you spring local honey from our Thurlaston Hives. Available from Thurlaston Garden Centre or use the contact form.
Richard's sister-in-laws Irene and Marie-Pierre joined him for their first bee experience. After getting suited up and having some instruction from Richard, they got stuck into doing some hive inspections. Iren and Marie-Pierre said they really enjoyed becoming beehelpers for the day. You too can become bee helpers and participate in your own bee experience. Just complete the contact form.
